It was an amazing evening
filled with learning and song
women of all ages
from many diffrent synagogues
coming together to create
a place of warmth and welcome to all.
We started in darkness and moved to light.
Rabbi Lynn Kern of Beth Haverim explained the customs behind Rosh Chodesh and why this holiday was given to the women.
The beautiful voice and melody's of Cindy Paley and the rhythmic drums of Joy Krauthammer.
Women coming together creating a true sisterhood of support and celebration that can be passed from generation to generation. The feeling spoken of that evening is what will make sure that Conservative Judaism will continue on.
